Snowy River EMS Productions offers a variety of CPR, AED & First Aid Courses to meet the needs of individuals or organizations wanting basic medical training to assist the sick and injured until help arrives. 
 
Course manuals are provided as part of the course fee and will be distributed the day of class.

AHA Card Issuance Policy: Effective January 1, 2018 all American Heart Association Course completion cards will be issued as eCards. Students will receive an email from the AHA on how to access and download their card(s) within 7-days of course completion.
 

Public Courses

Heartsaver CPR, AED & First Aid Course

This 8-hour course will provide will provide students with the knowledge to manage victims of all ages suffering from a cardiac arrest event. Emphasis is placed on the importance of providing CPR/FIrst Aid to improve patient survival, and the importance of teamwork and how it helps resuscitative efforts. 

 

Topics Covered include: 

 

  • Accessing 911 systems

  • Bandaging

  • Splinting

  • Musculoskeltal injuries

  • Burns

  • Penetrating Trauma

  • Bleeding Control

  • Allergic Reactions

  • Posionings

  • Bites and Stings

  • Sudden illness

  • Environmental emergencies - hot and cold

  • Evaluation of the sick and injured

This 4-hour course will provide will provide students with the knowledge to manage victims of all ages suffering from a cardiac arrest event. Emphasis is placed on the importance of providing CPR/AED use improve patient survival, and the importance of teamwork and how it helps resuscitative efforts.

  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for adults, children and infants 

  • Use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)

  • Rescue Breathing

  • Compression only CPR

  • Accessing 911 systems
